Purpose:
Student participants in the Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI) Mock Election examine the candidates, study the issues that define the campaign, and simulate the election process. Information gathers on national problems help them select their target Democracy Corps issue.

- How does the election process work?

- Access the YLI Mock Election Website
Procedure:
- Visit the Youth Leadership Initiative website to register for the YLI mock election. Participation is free and registration for the mock election opens in August.
- Visit the mock election demonstration section of the YLI website to learn more about the program and how to integrate it into your curriculum.
